A quick Lapp round the Garden of England

The gentle clanking of Scandinavian sleigh bells, the pristine white snow, the baying huskies...in the run-up to Christmas this could only be one place on earth - KENT.

Among yesterday's visitors were Hugo and Georgiana Wells, aged two and five from Staplehurst in Kent, and their mother, Maxine, 39.

After decorating gingerbread, writing Christmas letters to Santa and a brief stint working at the elves' toy factory, young visitors are granted a personal audience with Father Christmas.

There is already a waiting list for Christmas 2008
